2026 Jeep Wrangler MOAB 392: Insider Leak Suggests a New V8 Trim Is Coming
A new leak from dealer ordering systems — first shared by Butter the Insider and verified by Auto Intel Daily — suggests Jeep is preparing to launch a four-door Wrangler MOAB 392 for the 2026 model year.
According to internal dealer data, a Wrangler Moab Edition appears as an upcoming trim with the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 (392) engine. While not yet open for orders, the configuration confirms Stellantis is expanding its V8 portfolio even as most automakers are pulling back.
The leak comes from contacts within the Stellantis network and was discussed between Butter the Insider, TK’s Garage, and OC Motivator — a trio known for breaking early factory and dealer intel. The group has previously been accurate on several key stories, including the 392 Gladiator and the cancellation of the plug-in Gladiator 4xe.
It’s still unclear whether Jeep will also bring a 5.7-liter HEMI variant to lower trims such as the Sahara or Sport. Historically, the Rubicon has been the flagship 392 model, but this MOAB edition could represent a more off-road-focused luxury package.
If accurate, the 2026 Jeep Wrangler lineup could look like this:
- Wrangler MOAB 392 – top-tier V8 performance trim
- Rubicon – retains HEMI and hybrid options
- Sahara/Sport 5.7L – possible mid-tier offering
- Gladiator 392 – companion release, possibly in late 2026
Jeep’s decision to expand the 392 lineup could reflect Stellantis’ broader strategy to reintroduce V8 power across Dodge, Ram, and Jeep following backlash over the shift to electrification.
