Unfortunately, this is another Stellantis recall. We know that nobody wants to deal with this right now. However, it is the end of the year. Consequently, we must face the reality of the situation.
I would rather this happen now than at the start of next year. Let us just get it done. We need to get it out of the way immediately. As a result, we can hopefully start 2026 off on the right foot.
Currently, the situation is ridiculous. I am absolutely shocked by what is going on. I am beyond mystified at this point. Therefore, we need to talk about it today.
We are going to discuss exactly what this Stellantis recall encompasses. In addition, we will look at how many vehicles are involved. Furthermore, we must analyze why the stock took a little dip because of this news. There is a lot to unpack regarding these safety issues.
Details on the Safety Software Recall

Yes, there is a recall for over 52,000 vehicles. The core issue revolves around safety software. Specifically, this has something to do with the restraint systems.
For example, this could involve the airbags. Alternatively, it could involve the seat belts. Ultimately, the problem centers on the software within the vehicles.
Now, this again is another issue rearing its head. This situation stems directly from the Carlos Tavares era. I have talked about this extensively in previous updates. This man has cost this company a significant amount of money.
Therefore, it is just ridiculous. However, we have to deal with the fallout. Hopefully, the fix is simple. Ideally, it is something as simple as a software fix.
A quick flash or a quick reprogram would be the best-case scenario. As a result, this would fix the issues efficiently. On the other hand, it might not be that simple.
If mechanics must replace modules and other hardware, that costs insane money. Consequently, that is why the stock is taking a beating. Every time Stellantis starts getting momentum, this happens.
As soon as they move in the right direction, another Tavares-era issue pops up. Effectively, it slaps the company back down.
The Lingering Effects of the Tavares Nightmare
Do I think this is going to damage the stock going into 2026? No, I do not think it is that bad. I certainly hope we are getting to the end of this nonsense.
We should reach the end of the vehicles from the Tavares era soon. Therefore, we should be getting towards the end of these mass recalls. However, future recalls are inevitable.
You could have one or two a year. That is normal for any manufacturer. But 10, 15, or 20 recalls is excessive. They must tighten up on the quality.
It is bad when you see recent reliability reports. For instance, I saw a report yesterday regarding BMW. BMW is now listed as more reliable than all American manufacturers. That is insane.
To me, that is absolutely insane. To be fair, they are likely talking about specific engines. They are probably referring to the B58 and the B48 engines. These are the inline-six and four-cylinder engines from BMW.
Toyota designed and built these in conjunction with BMW. As a result, they are very reliable. However, they are likely not talking about the V8 BMWs. Jesus Christ.
That said, my V8 BMW has been great. I have literally put almost 30,000 miles on my M5. I have trekked back and forth across the country. Fortunately, I have had zero issues.
So, there is that. I will leave the question to you guys. How long do you think the Carlos Tavares stuff is going to bite this company?
Every time I think we are done, there is another issue. Also, every time I think it is over, there is another problem. It just keeps happening. Overall, it is ridiculous.
Ram Truck Giveaway Updates
Before we continue, I have important channel updates. In case you did not know, the Ram 1500 Laramie giveaway is now closed. That is it. It is done.
We will be doing an announcement sometime tomorrow. This will likely happen around 6 or 7:00 in the evening, Central time. Later, we will finalize that time.
In addition, I want to give a major shout-out to Goodies Popcorn. He still has the last batch of orders to ship. I think there are about 30 or 40 orders left to go out.
You guys should receive those before the beginning of this coming year. Now, one of the things that we are going to do is exciting. We are going to pull the winner for that Ram 1500.
Then, on New Year’s Day, we are going to pull a secondary winner. This will be for cash for people that supported Goodies Popcorn. If you bought their products, you entered.
As a result, that will be a second chance to win. If you do not win the truck, someone is going to get $1,000 bucks in cash. I think that is pretty cool.
Meanwhile, the Ram 2500 giveaway is still going right now. Also, OBD Tech just increased their giveaways. They put a coupon code in there which lowers the price of the scan tool.
Furthermore, it brings the entries up to 1,500X. It is limited to however many they put in there. Unfortunately, I do not remember the exact number.
They are just trying to do something special before the holiday season. So, that is up as well if you want to win the Ram 2500.
Holiday Plans and Final Thoughts
I wanted to talk about this before I head out for the holidays. I was debating what we were going to do for Christmas. I think I am going to go to Qatar for Christmas.
I know that sounds crazy. However, I just need some time to clear my head. I need to get myself back to being me. I am not trying to do a bunch of extra stuff.
That is what I think it is going to be. Specifically, I am not talking about the YouTube videos or other stuff. There is just a lot of stuff I got going on behind the scenes.
Therefore, I need to re-evaluate things. We will see how that goes. Let me know what you guys think about the recall in the comments below.
Also, give the video a big thumbs up if you like what I do. Hit the subscribe button if you haven’t already. Finally, have a Merry Christmas. Spend time with your family. Maybe do not be so petty this holiday season.
