The Hellcat is officially back in the room. Recently, Ram dropped a massive teaser video for the 2026 Ram TRX. Furthermore, this confirms an epic reveal is coming on New Year’s Day. However, the biggest story here isn’t just the truck’s return. Instead, it is the mystery surrounding the 2026 Ram TRX pricing. Currently, some outlets are reporting an eye-watering $99,000 price tag. Yet, my investigation into the 2026 Ram TRX pricing structure suggests a different number. In fact, the math points to a massive market correction regarding the 2026 Ram TRX pricing that could shock everyone.
We need to break down the clues hidden in the new teaser. For example, the video title explicitly uses the word “Apex.” Enthusiasts know the TRX is the apex predator of the full-size performance truck world. Additionally, the teaser features sand and dust glistening in the light. Significantly, this aesthetic mimics the original “Sandman” commercial from the 2020 launch. Consequently, Ram is signaling a return to form. But I am looking past the marketing fluff. Finally, my investigation connects this teaser directly to leaked footage from weeks ago.
Connecting The Dots: Heavy D Sparks And The Blackhawk
Earlier, I hinted about a specific creator filming a commercial for Ram. If you guessed Heavy D Sparks from the Diesel Brothers, you were correct. Recently, leaked footage showed Heavy D landing a Blackhawk helicopter in Las Vegas. Inside that helicopter, viewers could clearly see a set of massive paddle tires. Moreover, Heavy D stated those tires were heading to Glamis for a Ram truck installation. He claimed they were rallying a Ram RHO. However, that story does not add up.
Tim Kuniskis, the CEO of Ram, was present on that set. Why would the CEO attend a shoot for the RHO, a truck Ram has already revealed? Simply put, it makes no sense. Furthermore, Heavy D explicitly mentioned they were doing things “truck owners want to do.” Later, Chris Jacobs confirmed he was out filming an epic reveal that “Legal is going to have a heart attack” over. Therefore, putting two and two together is simple. The “sand and dust” in the official teaser matches the Glamis dunes where Heavy D was filming. As a result, the timeline is locked. The commercial is done, and the trucks are ready for the January 1st reveal.
Plant Intel: Hellcats Hiding In RHO Bodies
Beyond the commercials, we have hard intel from the assembly plant. My sources inside the plant confirmed seeing Hellcat engines on the line. Specifically, they spotted the standard orange-block 702-horsepower Hellcat engines. This is crucial information. Previously, Ram had to bring the Hemi V8 back due to a regulatory loophole. Since the 5.7L Hemi returned for 2025, the 6.2L Supercharged V8 could return as well. Consequently, the TRX is back for the 2026 model year.
However, Ram is being sneaky about production. Plant workers reported seeing mechanics install these Hellcat engines into bodies labeled as RHOs. Ram is likely using RHO badges to disguise these early TRX builds. Strategically, this move makes sense. No one pays much attention to the RHO because it uses the Hurricane inline-six. By blending the TRX in with RHO production, Ram can hide the return of the V8 predator in plain sight. Nevertheless, we know the truth. The new TRX will share the RHO body and interior, with only minor branding changes.
The Math Behind The 2026 Ram TRX Pricing
Now we must address the most important factor: the price. The previous TRX ballooned to $96,000 before Ram discontinued it. However, the automotive market has crashed since then. For instance, the Jeep Wrangler 392 previously cost $100,000. Recently, prices have dropped significantly on dealer lots. In addition, the Dodge Durango Hellcat has seen similar price corrections. Therefore, Ram cannot launch the 2026 TRX at $100,000 and expect volume sales.
We know the 2026 Ram TRX shares 90% of its parts with the Ram 1500 RHO. Currently, the RHO starts at $69,995. This truck already includes the widebody kit, the suspension, the interior, the wheels, and the brakes. Surprisingly, the only major difference is the engine. Producing a Hellcat V8 does not cost $30,000 more than producing a Hurricane inline-six. Consequently, there is zero justification for a $30,000 price hike over the RHO. Ideally, Ram can simply swap the engine and change the badges.
My prediction is bold but mathematically sound. I believe Ram must price the 2026 TRX around $85,000. This price point would be a massive aggressive move. Currently, the Ford Raptor R costs roughly $115,000. If Ram prices the TRX at $85,000, they will undercut Ford by $30,000. As a result, buyers will flock back to Ram. Previously, we saw this happen in 2021. Ram sold 15,000 units in a shortened year. Later, they moved over 20,000 units in 2022. By saving customers $30,000 compared to a Raptor R, Ram can reclaim the sales crown immediately.
Dealer Leaks: 750HP Stage Kits Incoming?
There is another twist to this story. Dealers have leaked information regarding factory-backed stage kits for the new TRX. Unfortunately, Ram has not released the specific horsepower numbers yet. However, we can look at the history of Dodge Direct Connection parts. Usually, Stage 1 and Stage 2 kits push the Hellcat engine into the 750-horsepower range. Therefore, it is safe to assume the 2026 Ram TRX will offer a dealer-installed boost to at least 750 horsepower.
Ram has to be careful with this strategy. Recently, Ford showed a concept package at SEMA with a Whipple supercharger pushing the Raptor R to 900 horsepower. Consequently, Ram might need to develop a Stage 3 kit to compete. This would likely involve swapping the blower for a larger unit. The horsepower war is far from over. Meanwhile, Stellantis and Ford are still trading blows. Ultimately, the consumer wins with more power options directly from the dealership.
This reveal is a make-or-break moment for Stellantis. Unfortunately, Ram has slipped from a firm second place in truck sales to fighting for market share. They need a win. The RHO is a solid truck, but it is not a halo vehicle like the TRX. By bringing back the Hellcat at a corrected price point, Ram can dominate the headlines in 2026. Finally, the reveal is locked for January 1st. We will see if the price shocks the world as much as the return of the engine.
